1984 ATC200E Big Red... They exist?! Any more info?

Found this pretty interesting. The recoil on them is setup like a atc200es/m. Helping a guy from Sweden with his machine.


Frame number pattern: JH3TB051*EC51####
Engine Serial pattern: TB05E-520####
CDI: 969 CI-42 (same as 20es and similar machines) (reverse wire is blocked off since it's not used)

Stator connectors appear to be like the ATC200E style. His exciter coil is bad.

I'm pretty sure that they were available on other countries. If there was a 1985 200ES, then I don't see why there couldn't have been a 1984 200E. Possibly, they were just rebranded as the next model year because they didn't sell very well like they did in the U.S.?

Yea, it's the first time I've seen that model though. Here's a list of other odd models that exist, I'm sure there's more just I haven't seen anywhere that says they exist. I've sourcing some VIN data from sites over seas, and none of them has the 84 ATC200E yet, so it might be quite an odd machine. The one site even lists the 1992 TRX200X.

Also the 84 200e isn't a 83 200e with a 84 sticker on it, The recoil system is the same setup as the 200es/m machines, but the stator base plate isn't the 200es style. It uses the 200ES CDI, but doesn't have anything hooked to the reverse safety wire.

I wish there was a better place to source data about where machines were sold and such. Like even Sweden sites don't list the 84 200e on parts that fit it, it's almost like the Honda dealers don't get localized data but generic data.
