Question Mig tig combo welder ?

And body have any experience with these types of welders ? I was thinking of buying one machine over having two taking up space.

I personally do not, but when it comes to welders I am a brand name snob, You cant go wrong with a Miller or Lincoln. I have only owned a few because they last, I use a 25 year old 120 miller mig daily and still have a 220 buzz box Lincoln it still works as well its 30 years old.
Some argue Hobart is great, if yo have a rep. that will stand by it then go for it, otherwise Miller/Lincoln
Same with atc/atv I only play with Hondas.

I will echo MrC. Miller or Lincoln. Miller has the rep for the best mig machines but they are usually a little more expensive. If your tig welding will only be DC, I suggest the Lincoln Power Mig 210 MP. If you hurry and get it before the end of the month you can get a $376 rebate. I bought the Square Wave Tig 200. I already have a mig welder and wanted AC/DC and DC tig.

my brother got a really nice Mig/Tig/Stick welder from of all places, Harbor Freight. It their Vulcan name brand one... Its 120/240 volt and does a great job in either voltage. They also have another brand one there that's about the same its their Titanium brand.. it looks really nice as well.
this is the one he has... https://www.harborfreight.com/migmax...put-63617.html

Not me but my brother has a Miller Multimatic 200. Pricey but very heavy-duty.

Get the Lincoln Square Wave 200. It does AC and DC tig and SMAW (stick). Another one I seriously considered getting was the Miller Multimatic 220. I think the Multmatic 220 would do about everything most guys would ever need. I would have got it but I already have a good mig welder.

You want AC for aluminum I assume.

DC only TIGS are less expensive but they need the sine wave voltage curve of AC to break into aluminum.

I have Lincolns and Millers like MrConcdid and I love em. BUT, it seems like guys are buying cheap Harbor Freight machines and they do all kinds of stuff very inexpensively.

I'd have no problem buying a cheap machine here in 2020, but I already have all the ones I paid 5000$ for...

I have a older 110v miller 130 Mig that’s why I was looking to get a higher amp mig and might as well look into the mig tig combos. Cause messing with these bikes seems like I’m always wanting to weld something aluminum

I suggest you consider buying a used Lincoln LE31 MP. It will be much cheaper to buy used, most ppl who buy this type of welder are students (noobs). If you shop around online you will find deals.

Check out this item on OfferUp. https://offerup.co/NRMQapPkmfb

I bought a Lincoln 180 for 350.00, it came with a brand new Aluminum spool gun and lots of consumables & wire.

That LE31 MP is a nice unit, it all depends on what you want to weld. Not sure if the LE31 can use the spool gun but it will do Tig for aluminum.
