New to site, looking for help with 1985 Atc 70

Hello everyone,

I’m new to site and I have 3 3wheelers. 1985 Honda Big Red 250ES, 1985 Honda 250sx, 1985 Honda ATC 70 all in near mint condition

My atc 70 wouldn’t run when driving unless the choke was on, would start right pull of the cord but you couldn’t drive it unless it was choked. I cleaned the carb, trike was running strong while doing some finishing tuning and the all of a sudden out of no where I lost spark. Changed plug still nothing. Is it possible my points crapped out that easy even if it started and hand good spark before I cleaned the carb ?

You can buy new points and condenser there. That solved my problem.

Ah from Fort McMoney eh! Maybe not so much money anymore like us in Cold Lake with the oil in the crapper!
Maybe try to trim a bit of the sparkplug wire off first. Unscrew the boot and look inside the wire for corrosion or broken wires. You should be able to trace the wiring fairly easy to see if someone messed with it. You can also disconnect the kill switch to rule out a short there. Loose flywheels and broken/bent keys will cause havoc too. Do you have a manual? They should be available for download on here somewhere.
