how much is a original 86 250r worth?

hi guys, i recently had a guy stop by and he made me a pretty healthy offer for my original 86r, but im not looking to sell it. i purchased it from the original owner he ordered it the end of 1985 and took very good care of it, only thing that he changed was handle bars, silencer, added wheel spacers, i have all the paper work and original jet kit! trike is mint.let me know what u guys think its worth. i do know i probally would never find a nicer one to replace it

No idea on value. I just got rid of a 84 that wasnt in good shape at all and had a stuck piston for $750. That thing is really nice! Be interesting to see what the value is!!

$3200-4000 top end mint rider lawn/field use, extremely low hr original bore, never say you’ll never find another one nicer...there out there. You will have to pay more for it $5000 for an untouched show room queen not out of the question. If I were you I’d get it back to STOCK everything for top EBay and sell the pipe as extras with the machine.

    What was the offer?

I also believe just like brass era and 1st gen Corvette’s the market will run out of enthusiasts. Not that they won’t be cool nostalgic, the cost and ability to ride it comes at a large upfront cost.? Chip a windshield on a 59-62’ Vette, glass$3000 if you can get it(you might have to wait on a production run) install $3500 at a good shop(27 frame pieces make up mount). Kids today have no idea how much fun they are to ride and won’t because it’s old tech. Your starting to get into hybrid prices with parts availability so the guy who wants to beat the devil out of it...and has mechanical skill might not be so inclined to go old collector route.

Here in Florida I see them actually sell for $5-$6000, not just advertised, there is a difference.

Hard to say without better pictures, but if the plastic is really nice and the rest if the bike is in decent condition, it is worth at least $4000.00 in california. If it is low hours and looks really nice, it is worth at least $6500.00 here and could be more. One that is on close to showroom condition is easily $8000.00 and could be $12000.00.

I just sold my 85 to a dealer for $2500.00 without the pipe and shrouds and it needed cosmetic resto and some mechanical repairs and the swingarm bolt was seized in the swingarm, lol.

    Hello thornton.

$10K Canadian - all day long. Don't sell it - you will regret it. What would you replace it with??
