Looking for a shop who works on trikes

Hi guys. I’ve been a member for a while but this is my first post. I have an ‘83 YTM 200. Ran great for a while but on my most recent oil change I noticed a bunch of small metal pieces caught in the oil filter. I’m not a mechanic by any stretch of the word, I just enjoy riding. Can anyone recommend someone close or as close as possible to the eastern PA area that is familiar with these machines and can take care of my issue? Will probably have them clean up and check everything on the whole machine as well. Thanks!

Kb5industries. Problem with you not being a mechanic is your prob gonna pay someone $65/hr. I'm no a mecanic but I rebuilt all my toys. A manual is $35.

Most of these were never rebuilt, loose crank bearings, loose pistons worn clutches, that's why youd have metal in oil. I just fully rebuild a blaster motor and warrior motor at following costs with new cranks and having them tried. Blaster about $500 warrior about $800 valves and fly cut cylinder.

$65 an hour! I work on a lot of atvs, motorcycles, lawnmowers, etc and only charge $10 an hour for labor. I am kinda the "3 wheeler guy" in my area and have had a lot more come in for repairs and service in the last 3 months than I have in the last few years.
    Currently : trx400fw, ct70, 250es,200x, xl80s, 350x, 350x, 225DX, trx300

Got any photos of those metal chips? Mine always has some metal chips in the screen. 37 years, still running.

$65/ hr is a steal. The shops here on Long Island get $125 an hour. I'd ship my whole bike to South Dakota for $20 an hour.

just replace you oil, ride it and then check it a few rides later and replace again. figuring out where it came from is a full motor rebuild and im sure you do not have to dump $600 into it yourself to do it right or double that at a dealer. You could buy a newer machine for that. That is why people let machines go. My 88 warrior motor i just did had metal in oil screen. Thats why there is a screen but it also had no real service in 32 years. After a full rebuild only thing i saw was a clutch basket starting to groove and a sloppy crank.

Holy crap Dave, I don't get out of bed for less than $20.00/hr! If I work on someones ATV that isn't a friend, I charge $50/hr. Up here it'll be $150.00/hr at the stealership.
