350x hub differences

Installing some new front wheel bearings in what I believe was a 86 350x front hub. Sprocket side dust seal sits flush with the hub face. My 85 hub seal sits some what below the surface with a bit of a gap which I need to make the front axel sit in all the way in.

I took them both apart and found the hub on the left with 1.020” front the top of the lip to the inside shoulder where the bearing sits in. The hub on the right 0.820”. Could the hub on the right be a 86/87 200x? I know the 86 200x had the same front wheel as a 86 350x in Canada

Any info would be helpful. Thank you

That hub on the left looks like an early 200x 83-85 hub.

I thought it was to but it’s not. The mounting studs don’t have the nut behind them. Also missing those two small narrow tips on the ends.

Here’s a pic of a first Gen. 200x hub Click image for larger version.

What is the bolt spacing on that hub? Is it bigger than the one on the right? The right hub looks like a second gen 200x.

I agree with BKM. The hub on the right looks like 86-87 200x.

Here is a link to one that sold recently on ebay for reference pictures. It's faster than me going in the garage and digging one out...

The hub on the left is definetly an 85 350x.
85 350x has those little nubs, no other atc has them 99.9% sure.....
86 no nubs- has those 2 shiny standoffs instead

The 86/87 200x hub inner collar measurement new(pic) just compare it w/that right hub, if you havent mixed them up (there all different). Well the 85/86 250r and 350x share the same inner collar.
If its a 86/87 200x hub, yes it'll bolt on but the wheel won't be centered and disc/caliper won't line up in a 350x.

Shep you are correct. I took a pic of both collars. Shorter one is from the 85 350x and the longer one from the 86 200x hub.

Looking through my hubs and found the correct 86 350x. On the casting it is market out with a 2. And the 86 200x is market with a 1 stamped into it.

Other then the marking of the number and the shoulder depth. The sprocket is a the only other way to tell. The 86 200x has the studs coming out of them and the 86 350x has bolts that bolt the sprocket into the hub.

Didn’t think it would be that easy but lots of information I couldn’t find on line or reference.

Bumping an old thread. I have had these 2 in storage for 20+ yrs., pretty sure the red one is for a 250R, the other I am not so sure about. Is it a 200X? Either way neither do me any good with my 350x.
