    Nice trike!

    250SX are usually clapped out if I can even find one for sale around here.

    You got a very nice survivor and they are hella desirable as far as Honda ATCs go

    Is that a XR600R in the background? You're super lucky to get a nice 250SX at that price, and yes, in good condition, they'll last a long time with proper care.

    I've owned a KTM. The reason I sold it was because everything to keep it going was expensive.

    Stories about my 3 wheeler...I've had many, but I've never owned a sport trike, because I've had motorcycles and dirt bikes. On a trike, I like slow (ish) and all day.

    Oh yeah that bikes my cousins . Him and I did quite a bit of riding. But he sold that and has a quad now. The place where that picture was taken was obviously an easy ride. But we read the map wrong another time and it led us to a 4x4 Jeep trail that was rated difficult! It was so fricken hard I never want to do that again. But was proud of myself to make it out without broken bones.

    First off I know that mine isn't anywhere as nice looking as yours, but here's a few pics of mine on a Coloraod trip that I just got back from this morning. In these, we're not quite above the timberline, but we did go higher.Click image for larger version.

ID:	263773 While I did enjoy riding it, my 250ES was a better rock crawler. To me, the bigger tires and lower gearing made all the difference.

    Thank you on the compliment on my trike...Oh that looks like a nice place to ride. I’m really having withdrawals from not riding this year yet. I’ve only owned that trike 6 years. Got her a tune up and ready to rip!!

    Definitely a nice machine you have there!

    As you said, you want to keep it going forever. I'm with you there! To help with that, just be sure to keep up with the basic maintenance. These machines will run under really poor conditions, but make life as easy as you can on the machine make sure to keep up on:

    * Air Filter maintenance (keep the filter clean and oiled)
    * Engine Oil changes and filter replacement
    * Rear axle oil changes

    The rear axle oil is one I really like to keep a close eye on. The 85's don't have the best seal system, and if you ride through any amount of water (even just puddles) you'll want to make sure that it doesn't get into the axle. You can easily inspect the axle lube by removing the fill plug. Just look and make sure it still is dark and oil like. If it gets water in there, it will look like chocolate milk. My 85 always got water in there, but my 86 (Honda changed the sealing design) seems to be better. Fortunately, the amount of oil in there is pretty small, and changing it is really easy. It was just annoying having to change the axle lube anytime the machine saw water.

    Have fun riding!!

    Oh yes I found that out when I first got it. The rear axle fluid was milky yellow...it sucks that the seal isn’t tight enough to keep water out. But like you said , easy to change . Thanks for the input.
