    Arrow $40 score!

Back in April, a friend of mine bought a tri moto 200. The guy he bought it from ran into him a few weeks back and told him that his brother had a 200es for $50. My friend did not want it, but asked me if I would want to buy it. at $50, I couldn't lose! tonight he and I went to pick it up. has 3 flat tires, missing the gas tank, missing rear rack, missing seat. However, the fenders were almost mint and it wasn't siezed. the guy lead us out back on his mint 71 ct70 too...after chatting and him recognizing my name (he knew my dad in the 80s), he told me that since we're into saving old machines that he'd go down to $40. loading it was difficult, I never knew a 200es was so heavy! After getting it home i looked around and found an 83 big red tank, rack, and seat. so then just need some tires. I knew someone with a used, but decent, set of 200 tires and got them for $30. so im into it $70. Haven't check spark or anything yet, but will tommorow. I'll get some pics tomorrow too.

Good score. Being there are some many 200ESs out there, they're probably one of the least inflated machines to buy. Very good though, except the forks...those gigantic POS forks.

They're not that heavy. One person can load it without a ramp if so inclined. Two people, no problem. A little more difficult since it had flat tires and didn't run.

The 250ES though, that's going to take some muscle to load alone, without a ramp. Just the axle hanging lower on the 250ES (rear suspension) makes it a higher lift to get in.

loading it was hard because of the flat tires and seized front brake.

Update: it runs! got the tires on it and it moves too.Click image for larger version.

Front fender is mint, so is the left rear. the right rear has 2 cracks in it. Gas tank i hput on it is also mint inside, but has a few dents on the outside.

I didnt own this machine very long. maybe 48 hours. The same friend who got the lead on it, but didnt want to buy it fro the original $50, rode it around and realized he liked it. I told him it was for sale (didn't intend to keep long term, college is expensive!). I was willing to cut him a better deal than what i was going to list it for, considering i got it because of him. i told him $475, he countered with $450, and so then it was sold. Today i got the parts to do the finishing touches for it. New keyswitch, battery, and timing advance springs.

For who owns it, it is a big step up from his current ride. He has an 83 ytm 200 with no pull start on it (yamaha parts are hard to fin up here)... Now he has electric start, reverse, shaft drive, high and low range, beefier tow hitch, and a pull start.
