    Scored !

So today I scored me a pair of 83 one owner sequentially numbered ytm 175's .The guy said he bought them for his kids and had them since. They are both in real nice shape although the daughters is nicer then the boys right down to the graphic's. Was going to sell one keep one but I would hate to break up the set. Oh what ever to do. Enjoy I know I will.

Not yet need some carb cleaning and a few tires but nothing major I don't think. been sitting like 2 years I think he said. mouse ate the air filter and made himself a home but Can't wait to try them out . Never had a 2 stroke wheeler before I have a ytm 200 and I love it can't wait to try his little brother.

    Very nice score.

The simplicity of an air cooled, single cylinder, two stroke is often underrated when dealing with old ATVs and motorcycles. Many of the old air cooled two strokes are in a low state of tune as factory, and actually last longer than the old rumors say they they did.

    Especially with today's oil.

Looking at the Puregas website, you seem to be far from any E0 (non ethanol) stations. Maybe there are some, but they aren't listed on the site. That'd be my first recommendation, is E0 fuel.

Middlesex, it reminds me of Donnie Darko, but that's a different state.

Probably any oil that's not in a cardboard, tin capped container, covered in dust, is going to be just fine. It's not a high strung engine, so any name brand, or even Tech 2000, excuse me (showing my age), Super Tech oil is safe. Ask an oil question and you'll get...results.

Last oil I bought was VP, at Tractor Supply. I like VP products and it wasn't much more costly than the other brands. I also like oils that already have fuel stabilizer in them; one less step. If it's not VP, I like Sunoco, but we have both service stations around here.

Oil questions usually get moans and groans, I was wondering if a synthetic or something like that would be better for the injection system. I]d love some Bell-ray but I'd be showin mine too. love that smell.

Synthetic flows better at cold temperatures. No getting around that.

Bell-Ray is fine. If it smells good, eat it. Oh, maybe that's for fish.

I default back to "I also like oils that already have fuel stabilizer in them."

For oil injection, meh, but that same oil is also going into my weed wackers and chainsaw, which are premix. Those and my moped, which sits a lot. One oil to fill them all.

That typically means it's going to be a synthetic oil with a higher price point.
