Surprise throttle issue with my 200e big red

Not sure if this has been discussed before. Yesterday and today I had a surprise throttle issue with my trike. I have driven it for awhile now and suddenly I have an issue where the engine doesn’t throttle down even when I let off the throttle. It’ll rev high but not respond when I thumb the throttle even wants to big out when I do that. It’s acts like a cruise control if I keep it in gear. I hit the kill switch and once it is off and I fire it back up the engine screams like it’s pinned. If it sits for a long while this stops and runs normals again until I take it out for awhile and starts again. I swapped my carb out with another thinking that will help but it did not. What could cause this issue? Is it the throttle cable itself? Or the throttle slide maybe?

Yep, probably a bad O-ring between the carb and engine. Sometimes the old O-rings just give it up, and start sucking.

Could be loose carb or manifold bolts and nuts, but the same thing, an air leak.
