Hello from a proud father of a 350x!!

Hi everyone! A while back I saved an 84 200s from the scrap and decided to get it running and driving. Shortly after, when my cockiness was at its fullest, I lost it off of a cliff and it took a 5 man crew to carry it back in pieces. Needless to say I was already hooked and fixed it back up! Many miles later I stumbled upon a barn-find 85 350x! Now that I’m certifiably insane, I’ve decided that I might fit in here!!
(BTW it’s been a hot minute since I’ve been on a vbulletin forum, so apologies if the pics are all messed up)

    Welcome and I'm hoping/guessing you fared better than the 200 that day . . . ?

Nice barn find, it looks like it's in great shape. I'd love to come across one like that.

Welcome. I hope you learned from the 200S experience and don't do that with your 350X. The 350 will probably go much farther down the hill with all of the extra speed.

Thank you!! And yes. A couple of “friends” took me down a goat trail for 4x4 quads and... well... off camber wasn’t the word haha. But yes, I jumped off on the high side and watched my poor 200 tumble. Easily a 100ft fall. Snapped the fork tube clean off.

I still can’t believe I actually own it. Sometimes I drive to my shop just to touch it and make sure it’s real haha!

Thanks! I’ve learned a lot since then. My cockiness has been replaced with fear and respect haha! I was told a big red will send you to the hospital and get a cool cast and a 350x will get you a cool wheelchair or headstone.

Yup, the faster the trike, the smarter you have to ride.

I don't have fear of them. Just respect. Without that, any ATV or motorcycle will hurt or kill you.

Looks like a good nearly complete X. I don't see many of them that still have an intact headlight, stock bars original seat cover and it appears to have original plastics. Make sure you either remount that tool box or remove it. They are getting pretty rare. They only made that style of tool box for 1 year so keep track of it. You will have to learn how to start it. There is definately a "starting procedure" to a 350x and until you learn it they are a pain to start. Once you learn it should take no more than 3 kicks to start it. Good luck.
