My First Real Trike - Avenger 300

Hi. New to here. I've worked on minibikes for years and had a couple minibike style trikes, but this is my first true trike. Its an Adventure Vehicles Avenger 300, mostly complete. I picked it up because of my experience with 4cycle flat heads. The Kohler k181 isn't to intimidating. The plan for now is to swap a Tecumseh 10hp on for now to get it rolling while I give the Kohler a good once over.

    Also, here's my mini-trike, a Montgomery Wards T555:

Can't go wrong with a K series Kohler! That should be a fun machine when it's up and running.

Wow! I have no idea why, but I think I have got to have one of those. That thing is so cool! So is the little one. But I never ever see these things around.

There's been some people who've recently posted images and info on these lesser known trikes. I'd certainly like to see more myself.

With the Predator engines, modifications available for them, and the CVT drives, I bet these would be a blast on gravel roads. Most of the other parts are kart oriented too, so other than body panels not being available, all the actual hardware should be pretty easy to source. Basically all of them have fan cooled engines too, so overheating while idling or riding would be very difficult.

The names are cool too! Who wouldn't want a Sasquatch?

Yeah, I've been building Minibikes for years and when I saw that this was basically a 3 wheeled minibike, I jumped on it. The only part I hope to never need to service is the gearbox, since there is very little out there on them and no parts. Either way, it was a cool, oddball find and well worth what I've got into it.

It looks like it doesn't do too bad in the snow with that 10 Hp engine.

I had an avenger in the early 80’s. The smaller size with a 5 hp. I’d like to find one to restore. Any size. If any are for sale let me know.
