    Repairing stator wires

'79 atc110. The engine for the "scrap 110". What's an easy durable fix for the insulation of the wires where they exit the case rubber grommet? This is gonna be a rider, so durability and waterproofing are highest on the list. I dont care if it looks different than stock. Don't want to lose spark while splashing thru a puddle! The wires seem sound, but the insulation is cracked and the wires are exposed. Shrink wrap?

Shrink wrap and liquid electrical tape might do the trick for ya there.

Ive got these, i cant tell u if they'd fit. Two piece rubber the top fits firmly over the smaller case grommet. Probably need to un solder the wires though... to fit in (your) drilled holes but i suppose one hole then splice/slit the smaller gromet to get the wires in.
No idea if it'd even work for you. (they are not drilled)
One time offer for you of $10 bucks shipped if u want to try.?

Thanks barnboy & shep! I'm leaning toward unsoldering and replacing the wires, they seem more brittle along more of the wire than I initially thought. I have a couple extra stators with completely severed wires, I'll try those first. Not too many of these stators around it seems!

Not too bad soldering fresh wires in- got them to go thru the grommet too!
