    I've been looking into it, but haven't taken the plunge yet. Looks to be a spendy hobby if you want good equipment? With the ...uhh....social climate the way it is I may invest in some cheap handhelds to get started, definitely not HAM, but a start.

    Good to know! Getting licensed and some equipment is on my short to-do list this year. Was curious how many folks here were active. Seems like I remember there was a similar thread years and years ago

    For the truck I loved 2 meters and 440 talking to local friends on repeaters and for the home base station I had a 10 meter 4 element beam with a 18’ mast and for power a Henry commercial 2k linear .
