The Humvee was a ton-o-fun, but was hot as he11 in the summer. Rolling w the X doors off and the rear curtain up helped, but stop lights were brutal.
It was mechanically sound for the most part when I got it, but did have to wrench a little. It needed a new smart start box, a couple glow plugs were bad and needed a new wiper motor.
I replaced the rotten top and found some old fiberglass genuine Xdoors too. I added four high back seats, a flip-down brush guard, steel rock sliders and the A2 rear bumper with a Rhino hydraulic spare tire carrier. I also put on aftermarket rims and some tires that were better suited for city driving (the OEM ru flats are brutally stiff).
All in all it was a blast, but I knew that there would be major mechanical issues around the corner and I didn't want to be the owner of it when that happened.
