Question I Need Help Please! 1985 Big Red 250es Question.

So I'm restoring the above mentioned and the last thing I need to do is figure out the reduction gears, I thought my project was complete until I tried to use the electric start. Upon investigating this matter I realized that I'm missing two gears that sit on a shaft going to the one way bearing.. After the last two days of research I have been completely confused, the gear connected to the starter is a 16t and 43t but everything I come across is different sizes. Can someone please tell me what gears I'm suppose to have. Im not sure if the previous owner had the wrong gears or if Honda just changed the gears for the 85... Any help would greatly be appreciated!!

The starter should have a 43T gear on it, then the little shaft it mates to has a 27T that meshes with the 43T and the back gear on that shaft is a 21T. Thats from the parts diagrams i have, not sure if they changed between years without comparing them but thats what i see on the parts diagram for the 85.

85 is on its own. 86,87 and 88 share the same gears but are different to the 85.
