    Talking New kid in town!

    Hey There!

Just rolled into this hobby (Literally) about 2 weeks ago. Picked up this old Yamaha Tri-moto 200E from my Father-in-law for free (Plus a promise not to hurt myself on it... we'll see on that one)

Now I've never been a motor head, I do industrial maintenance for a living but the world of engines is fairly new to me yet, and I'm only 25 so I have absolutely no exposure to these at all, but I'm super psyched to get into it. I look forward to working with you guys in the future!

    Things of note-

    The good:
Plastics in fantastic shape, body all good, minimal rust, engine still spun after it's 20 year break from back when it was last started in 2001.

    The bad:
A lot... She needs some love. Rear brake handle is useless, she runs a little rough, likes to jump into gear hard and shifts a little rough, missing support bars for hitch, ignition switch is busted up and barely works, dirty, brake pedal sticks and rear break cable has about 50 washers to space it since it's stretched so bad, broken/missing choke lever, broken gas cap, needs some dialing in. Turns really bad? It just wants to go forward when I turn.

    The formerly bad and ordered:
So far I've replaced the carb, the throttle cable, the fuel line, petcock valve, added a fuel filter, replaced the broken left brake handle, fresh gas, got everything I need to change the oil and air filters, new gear lube for the rear end, brake pads and brake cables here and ready for install, generic 6 wire ignition ordered since I couldn't find a 1:1 match under $100, new Yamaha yellow handles(!), new spark plug, new rear rack on order, new battery installed.
