    ‘84 250r rear tires

I just picked up an 84 250r. I’m looking for some new rear tires. It has the 22-11-8 balloon tires on the rear. I’m leaning towards some 20-11-8 tires. My question which I can seem to find an answer to is. If I go to the 20-11-8 will I need to re gear the sprocket? Or will I only notice a difference at the top end speeds?

Yes you'll have less top end speed when running shorter tires. You'll also have quicker acceleration. Regearing is probably best determined by how and where you ride most of the time.
