New to the board
Ok fellas, need some help. Put new stator in 85 Big Red 250, when I reinstalled side cover, it was a little hard to go on, but I figured that was just due to the magnets. Got in on with new gasket, and now it won't turn over, even with kick starter. Something is in a bind.
What did I miss ?

Probably the wrong size especially if it was a cheap aftermarket stator.
Gotta measure the OD, the width etc and you'll find the issue...
Like the 85 and 86 350X, one year flywheel fits over both stators, but one stator is a hair small and doesn't make enough spark.
Boy did I mess that up one time!! I had just about given up...
