    BIG RED 250ES inlet filter

Anyone run a filter mounted directly to the carb? If so, what do you recommend?
Or, does anyone know the diameter of the carburetor inlet size?

While you can do this, the down side is that it will be far easier to suck water and mud into the engine. You'll also need to rejet the carb since it will be running leaner due to the increased air flow of not having an air box.

Thanks, hadn't thought about the rejetting.

I think that a lot of people don't think about that. I've lost track of the number of You Tube videos where some one gets a new three wheeler running. There's no air box on it and he'll say something like "I have a little bit of tuning to do to the carb, but at least it runs".
