YouTube Has Killed The Dislike Counter

YouTube (owned by Google) no longer allows the public to view the video and comment dislike counts, site wide.

    Buh-bye YouTube.

We all know why they're doing it. Just type the word "dislike" in the commentary section.

I guess that's the best way to say that something is wrong with the video. They should more on minimizing the ads that a content curator attaches to the video because it is so annoying.

I'm still watching this play out and found an excellent example of why it was disastrous to remove the dislike counter.

Another crap video posted in the last month that got millions of views and people are calling it out in the comment section. If the dislike counter was still up, millions of people wouldn't have wasted a minute (more) of their time.

7,357,930 views and only 21k likes. That dislike button is on fire but you'd never know.

Video title: Not everyone knows this secret of an ordinary ax!

I'm impressed with how much effort he put into destroying 2 cheap axes...AND the number of views he's received..!!

Spoiler alert...not. The video isn't about a secret in any way. They just take two axe heads, cut them up and with poor fitting, use one tiny screw to hold the whole mess together in an 'X' style, then proceed to butcher a soft piece of wood. It's no better than anything else that already exists and much more dangerous to the user and anyone standing nearby.

The more these types of videos that steal time from people just so YouTube can trick them into watching ads is going to be their downfall. We all know they done it to satisfy the radical left and MSM who were getting slaughtered by dislikes, and now YouTube (Google) will face a reckoning.

Who cares....they are controlling you ppl. They everyone to like everything. Freedom of opinion is controlled now.

I will not use youtube for watching stupid stuff. I will only use it to listen to music or upload videos of my daughter growing up.

I refuse to click on stuff to make others rich. The world dies not need more internet stars who do not want to ear an honest hard day's work wage.

I think that's the point, there's going to fewer clicks and what originally started out as a community of sorts will be destroyed by political propaganda and greed in the end. Why we can't have nice things.

Otherwise, how are you? Hopefully everything's alright. You're reply construction seems off from normal.
