ATC 200s runs slightly rich and hesitates on acceleration

    Hello all
I am a new member so this is my first post.
I have a 200s that hesitates a bit on acceleration and is running somewhat rich and when idling surges just a bit.. I replaced the carburetor and ignition coil and substituted a CDI Box.
Unit starts Ok and overall runs good. Compression is perfect. absolutely no smoke.
I think maybe the new carb is the problem. I adjusted the pilot valve according to instructions and set the the idle, however when i start to close the pilot valve the engine does not quit according to instruction.
I am new to the 200S and any help or advice would be most appreciated.

Find a factory carburetor and rebuild it with a shindy carburetor kit .
The Chinese knock off carbs are very hit or miss on quality.

Thanks, I will do that. makes sense since OEM products are usually the best route to go.

I've had a few of them China carbs work OK but it seems they just throw whatever size jets are handy in them and they aren't marked for size. If you cant get an OEM carb for a decent price try putting a shindy kit in your China carb.
    Take care
