    Couple 1986 250sx carb questions

The fuel section of my service manual, states the following for the pilot screw adjustment: It states 1 1/4 turns, and 2 turns for machines "after '86". I assume the after '86 reference means for 1987 models only? I'm guessing this to be the case, since there are "after '85" references elsewhere in the manual. Can anyone confirm?

Secondly, can anyone confirm the parts stackup of the pilot screw? The image on the online fiche is a bit grainy, but it does seem to show an extra washer or O ring. Mine has an O-ring for the head, and the spring. No extra washer or O ring.

    Thanks!

Pilot screw stack is , spring , washer and then o-ring .
The turns out are a starting point to adjust from , these machines are old and the factory setup may work on one machine but not another .
Turn the machine on and get it to idle then adjust .
Start with 1 1/2 out and adjust it in and out for the best possible idle .

Thanks. I think there may be a slightly larger O-ring which goes on the head, just below the threads. There is a groove in the screw, seemingly for this purpose. It is likely the #1 (gasket kit) in the diagram, outside of the rectangle.

The Shindy carb kit seems to have an O-ring for this.
