    Another 200x motor swap query

Alrighty, here's what I've got. 1984 200x frame, currently running with a 85 motor that the P.O. installed. I'm either doing a overhaul on the current motor, or I have a line on a 81 xl250 bike for cheap. I'm not looking to do a whole frame reconfiguration, but slight modding I'm down with. Bottom line is how big of a pain is this swap if anyone has tried it.
If there is a thread already addressing this, please attach the link. I haven't been able to find one.
    Thanks

200X FRAMES do not swap motors nice, it wont fit. biggest issue comes at foot peg kicker area and air box. Turn the bike into a trike, its easier.

I agree. has anyone done the CRF230F engine swap to 200X frame? Does this only work with the Gen 1 200x frame?

Yes but i already have a CRF230. In a few years when my son moves to something bigger/better that 230 chasis will be pretty much shot.
I can use that engine in a 200x if i stumble onto one of those. Is it gen 1 only for the 230 swap?

Sounds like a really neat auto-X!

It's not an AutoX. The engine is from a CRF230F motorcycle and it has a manual clutch.

Gearing dirtbike motors in these things sucks, carb needs room in frame too. Easier to keep the 200x valve up
