    New fiberglass seat pan install?

Picked up a fiberglass seat pan for my 82’ ATC 200, along with a new cover, the original foam is in good shape.

What glue is recommended to secure the cover to the pan? As the pan does not have the hooks like the oratory secure the cover I was going to use a strip of pinch weld along the edge along with a good glue, just not sure what type of glue to use?

on my 185s that had a pan with the tabs rusted apart, I bought some upholstery tack strips and riveted them on the inside of the pan. I was going to order a fiberglass pan and do the same, ended up salvaging my metal pan.

You have to staple the cover on. Lots of videos on line. The newer ones had plastic and the factory use a staple gun

Don’t think staples would work with the fibreglass, toying with just taking the seat pan, foam and cover to the local upholstery shop and letting them deal with it but where is the fun in that? Besides the money spent there can go to better use buying beer.

The description on the website says to use contact cement, got the pan from ATC Heaven, was the only place that had one in stock and it was the last one, my original pan was to far gone to save.

Short wafer head screws , just make sure you screw into the meat of the foam , I’ve done a bunch this way with no issues .

I went with putting a strip of wood around the underside of the pan, using some expoy and short screw drilled in from the top to hold the wood strips in place and then stapled the cover to the underside wooden strips.

It looks ok, but not perfect, I’ll have to get some foam and fix the dip at the front and recover.
