    1986 250ES bogs at full throttle.

    Just got my 250es a few weeks ago and I've noticed a slight problem. It bogs down at full throttle. It also runs pretty hot. From what I've read it's running lean but I don't know where the adjustment screw is. Tia

    I had the same issue when I put a 300EX carb on mine using the stock jetting. I put the 250ES main jet in it and that solved the issue. There is no adjustment screw for wide open throttle. The air/fuel screw is only for idle and slightly above idle. You'll have to change jets if you want to richen the mixture above that setting.
