Harescramble at Lightning Raceway, Tippecanoe, Ohio

Im going to run a HS at Lightning Raceway in Tippecanoe, Ohio tomorrow. Only thing is I dont know if they allow trikes, but they probably do. Im running my quad since my trike is out of commission. Its supposed to be the toughest course in CRA.

If somebody wants to run a trike, Id jusr suggest calling the track first to make sure.

Well, how did you do?

It was drizzling all day, and the course was brutal. Some guys came, and chickened out and didnt even race. The course was littered with inoperable quads. I got off to an excellent start, using unconventional means to get around all the bottle necks. The Quad-Z was awesome. Then it died almost at the peak of a big hill. I soon found I had no fuel flow. I finally figured out I could pinch off the recirculater fuel line, blow into the tank vent tube, and force fuel through the pump, and it was magically cured. I must've had some crap in the pump. I finished lap one in pretty good time passing dead and stuck quads everywhere. Shortly after going through the scoring checkpoint, I got a flat front tire, and ran almost the whole second lap with a flat. That was rough! I did manage to score two laps for a finish, and got 4th out of 4 in my class (over 35). The old guys all toughed it out and did well. Id have done better in the younger classes where only about 2/3 of the riders even fisnished!

Turns out my tire leak was caused by a bent rim. Rock must've got me. I filled it with air, whacked it with a , and now it doesnt leak any more.
