    mike ft. laud or anyone that uses aviation fuel.....

    could someone please explain the BIG difference between jet fuel and avaition fuel?

    Simple - Aviation gas is high octane gasoline.
    Jet fuel is essentially highly refined Kerosene.

    Heh..

    DO NOT use jet fuel. Let me say that again. DO NOT USE JET FUEL. Jet fuel is for jet turbines, Which is a completely different animal.

    Av is a bit higher octane. I used to run it in my worked over 200x when i was racing and had the extra cash. Its most beneficial running high compression engines. Depending on where your getting it, you can pay upwards of 2$ a gallon for this stuff. Where I bought it, you could buy only in increments of 20 gallons for 35 bucks (saved a little cash).
