anyone put a 110 motor in an ATC 70?

I finally got my 110 back running after a year, and now i'm thinking about buying a 70 and putting a 110 motor in it. could someone tell me what is involved and maybe post some pics? and would a 125 motor fit by any chance? thanks.

Way back in 1981 I had a friend who put a 90 motor, twist throttle, suspension and a manual clutch on a 70.

It ran killer and pulled me around w/ no problems(I was 9 at the time)

I too have seen the 125M motor and electric start on a ATC 70. A guy on Ebay had one up for sale about 9 months ago. You have to have the motor, harness and all electrical accessories to pull it off. He even had a headlight on it. The only problem with it was the front fender had to be taken off because the head on the 125 stuck out quite a bit furter than the 70. Probably a set of fork extensions would cure that problem.

The 125m motor requires a custom head mount...the 110 motor will bolt right up, no problems. You would be better off with the 110 motor.

Here it is. I remember him talking about it, its crazy how they layed the top end horizontal on the bottom end. He said they have a plate over where the old 4 long studs used to be, they can remove the plate and inspect the crank and rod. I think he was from Austrailia.

greenhuman: that is amazing, you must be quite a fabricator? How do you know where to drill the hole that gets oil to the top end? Is the stroke changed at all?
