Yeah no kidding she did! Besides some kids really are skilled riders even at a young age, I was riding a 400 quad by the time I was 10.

Sure there were! We called them Japenses cars back then!

I dont think skill level has as much to do with the appropriate size machine as riders physical size and the likely outcome when the mahine rolls on them. Lots of 13 year old girls are bigger than their parents, and a 250R would be fine, but if she is 70 lbs and 4 feet tall I think it would be a very, very bad idea. My whole argument against the CPSC regulating quad sizes for kids is that it only looks at their age, and makes no consideration for their physical size. I have no doubt that TimJr could ride and "handle" the power of a 400cc utility quad, but it would be cold day in hell before I ever put him on one to go trail riding on while he's sitting at 100 lbs. We like challenges, and go out with the assumption that one of us will roll before the day is done. The chances that we will continue riding and have a few laughs over it are a lot better if I pull him out from under a 200 lb quad, than a 500 lb quad. Gravity is not affected by skill level.

my wife rides a 250r ,,, she is 5'11" and is about 165# last trip to the dunes even she got trapped under the trike and could NOT push it uphill off her leg,,, and she can kick my ass,,,, so no matter how strong or big you are there are times and situations where you can and WILL get into trouble,,,, thats why we never ride alone no matter what,,,,,

well from wat i hear 350xsx and i are alot alike, i would say we are the exceptions to the rules when trailprotrailpro 6'4 and 255 and rep on the bench 180 i think trailprotrailpro good to ride things that say trailprotrailpro nto old enough. when i was 13 i was 205 at 6 foot flat. so when trailprotrailpro like that u can handler it and i will agree never ride alone i have had 2 times in my life were i honestly had to put 100% faith in god and keep myself going to get out of situations(lost in the desert, and traped between bike and rock in gullie,) but for a 13 year old girl thats crazy iam sorry even if shes super good u have to have alot of trust in trailprotrailpro kid to respect the bike.

Putting kids on big bikes = ban for atvs

There is no way a 13 year old should be on a 250R. It can be done but is totally irresponsible.

Why do you have to be a certain age to drive cars on the road??? the 250r is capable of the same speeds. Other people use trails too so they could be involved in an accident just as easily.

In My Opinion...If a Skilled Adult Rider Thinks that their kid is ready for an Upgrade then so Be it...If the Kid can ride the Kid can Ride...Plain and simple...

If I went by your Opinion, I would have to yank my 3 yr old sons Quad out from under him, then he would go Power Ranger on me

i believe this is BS, i drive race trucks, 18 wheelers, tractors, and 900 hp + cars everyday(well the cars on occasion) but ive never gotten in a wreck any worse then most anyone, and when your takin a 600 horse racetruck with bald race tires around a dirt field, thats purty good.... and i drive on the street every once in a while....
its all in the kids capabilities, i was ridin a 690 Raptor that was totally insane when i was 12 and was jumpin it 100+ feet, that i havea video to prove....
