Is the Tecate 250 as good as a 250R?

Found this listing on ebay, a Tecate 250 for $1375 or BIN $1400. Is it worth this, and how is it compared to a 250R? It's only a few miles from me.

If it is only a few miles away then drop the seller an email and see if you could go check it out in person.

I love tecates but I think I would rather an 85R before the older tecate, but since I have both 86 tecate and 85r, I might would like the old tecate too.
    86-87 Tecate ROCK!

I would think parts are alot more harder to get and alot more $$$ for the tecate. That one is in nice shape though.

i wouldn't get it, i rode one and didn't care for it. price is kind of high too. if you want a tecate get an 86 or 87, much better.

Compared to an 84R than I'd say its probably better. But like stated above the 85R IS better all around. Talk him down to a grand & go for it.
