    Will 1985 250sx forks fit a 250es?

    On ebay I found a pair of forks from a 1985 250sx. I have a1985 250es. Will these forks fit my ES. He is also selling the front brake hub and he says that it will not fit the ES. Does anyone know for sure???

    other than the sx front looks better.....why would you want to swap? does the seller have the triples as well? you will need the entire set up.

    he does have the triple trees. The reason I am interested is my forks are shot. If you lift uo on the trike it stays up, the same if you push down on it. How easy is it to rebuild the forks. This is my first trike since I was a kid so this is a learning process for me!

    hmmmm i seeee! well if there is a will there is a way. the only thing that can go wrong is the neck tube being a different length or larger in diameter. hmmmm..... a 200x swap on a 250sx is an easy one....do you know of anyone near you that has a 200x or a 250r that you can measure off of. unless someone else knows, that is my only offering.

    Try to get the tripples. forks, and brake drum with the front axle.. the whole front end getup.

    the brake bus is on the forks to match up with the drum... having the entire deal would be an easy swap .
    Currently :

    82 ATC - 200, plain jane, almost mint. ( Sold, 03-17-2005)
    84 ATC - 200 ES, Jimmy-Rigged, don't ask.( Sold, 03-17-2005)
    85 ATC - 250 SX, Pride and Joy, Bottom-Less Money Pit.
    84 125 M - The Mini-SX not running yet. but won't be long.

    Hey bro. I have a 350X tripple tree if you need it. It would likely accept the SX forks with no problem. Just let me know. They are in good shape, and you know where I live.

    i have some 1985 250es forks i can sell you if you want them, they arent in perfect shape though.

    I bought 2 250es machines for parts and 1 had a complete 250r front set-up and the other had a 200x set -up and they worked looks like the stops was the only mods done

    Thanks guys. I am not sure what I am going to do. I just got home from work today. The guy called me yesterday and he only lives about 3 miles from me. I will probly go over there today. If the forks will not fit in my trees I think I will see about rebuilding my forks!
