Wow I think NADA is a litte off. Just look up some 250R values.
I was looking for my 1982 XL500R. According to NADA it's worth $100 to $130, but actually the cylinder head is worth that much. And here is one that just sold on ebay for $1575. I was just wondering incase my got stolen.

Nada is right on. Most of our local dealers use that as a value guide. Most things tend to go down in value as they get older.

Like most say you never get as much money as you have put in to it.

NADA has no clue on older machines. I hate to say it but ebay is your best judge.

I agree, after all, a bike is worth what someone will pay for it.

Same for cars, I have a MKIV Toyota Supra Turbo, the Kelly blue book value is up to about $10,000 less than what the car typically sells for in reality to individuals, it's called demand.

Ah you beat me to it. Yeah www.kbb.com is pretty good. They also have trade in and retail values for snowmobiles, quads, dirtbikes, jet ski's I think. Just about anything with a motor. Pretty good site. I recommend it.

After an off road bike hits 10-12 years old, you can throw the book away on it. It is worth what someone will pay. If you bike got stolen, most insurance companies are going to go by market value. They will determine what the bike was worth by what comparable bikes are actually selling for. At least a good ins. company will.
Many quads for sale. 400EXs, Z400, 450s ect.
