    AutoX conversion

what are trhe procedures for building an AutoX? i have a 100% 200X and a good running ATC 200 engine. Just curious as to what needs done with:
    1- exhaust routing
    2- engine mounts
3- anything i may have over looked

    any help is welcomed.

    thanks,
    ATC Tim

when I did my auto X the problems I faced were...
1.the triangle type mount had to be modified
2.the long bolt that goes through the engine(above the big swingarm bolt) had to have a spacer built in order for tension on the engine
3.I used the front motor brackets from by 200s(my auto X motor source)
4.I used all the 200s electrical system even the hand controls because of the fact that its a swap over.
5.watch the position where you mount the motor in because you might have a hard time squeezing the header through to connnect to the muffler.
thats all that I can think of for now....hope this helps you out Tim

the only problem i had is when i did my auto x all i got was a rooling standard 200x frame and i had a good atc200 and when i put the auto 200 engine in the 200x frame i had to find a 200x intake boot for the carb, but * said you had a perfect 200x so you wont have a problem at all.

The other big issue is the rear brake pedal. It mounts on the 200x motor. You will have to fab some kind of bracket to hold it.

I used the 185s brake pedal, i took it to a machine shop and got it reamed to 19mm i think, so that it fits right on the bottom footpeg bolt mount. then i just shortened the piece that connects the pedal to the pivot for the plunger
    Caution
Do not "POP WHEELIES" and run for any distance with the ATC. The oil capacity is relatively small and the oil will drain out of the oil pump area thus causing loss of oil pressure, resulting in costly engine damage -CLYMER
