    Whats up with the holes in the front fender? Stock?
    3 CR500R's and counting. Do I really need 4???

    Looks like someones "homemade" vented fender, or possibly a earlier aftermarket vented fender?

    I have seen that done alot over the years. Being a air-cooled bike the stock fender wasn't vented, so people would use a hole saw and drill those holes in the front fender so more air would get to the motor. The Maier fenders are made vented, I just bought one about a year ago. The only disadvantage I see is, the holes and vents mean more mud.
