    how do you adjust a 85 atc 70 clutch?

    is it in all the way or out all the way then back it off a bit?? i'm not sure, i've tried it both ways and it still shifts like crap. i think theres something wrong internally. any help would be aprreciated. thanks

    Have engine off, remove large rubber cap from right side case, loosen lock nut, slowly turn adjuster screw clockwise 1 full turn, slowly turn the adjuster screw counterclockwise until slight resistance is felt, then stop, then turn the screw clockwise 1/8th turn, make sure screw doesn't turn when tightening lock nut. Those instructions are from the clymer manual.

    What is your clutch acting like?
