Lrd sells 300 resleave that uses a 72mm bore and the last bore is 310, if it counts any. Its not cheap and Bill Balllance used to use it with great success.

What is this first bore last bore stuff about...can you get the last bore first? Or, would they charge your for all antecedent bores as well?

Why not just plate the cylinder at the final bore and then it would be 310 all the time and you wouldn't need to overbore at every overhaul! Beides then it be just like my T-3, a better bike LOL HAHA

why are you guys making such a big deal over a small(mostly only in the mind) performance increase. I agree it is misleadining to a point, but most will tell that that the last bore is a true 310(atually 309.78813913967207), the 72mm bore is 293.2691222242623

deathman, where you're wrong is the "mostly in the mind" comment. Any increase in displacement is a measureable performance increase unlike the real "in the mind" performance increases most guys claim such as re-jetting or running high octane fuel. The "point" is that I didn't get what I paid for. If I had wanted a 295 kit I would have bought one, but then I probably would only be getting 280 cc's or so.

When I buy a gallon of gas, I want a gallon of gas, not 7/8 of a gallon. When I buy a pound of hamburger, I want a pound of hamburger. If I get 45 free minutes on my cell phone, I want 45 free minutes, not 39. Granted 17cc's is small in the grand scheme of performance increases, but so is every other performance increase you can buy or bolt onto your bike. Add up all the "small" performace increases and the hp starts adding up as well. Get the "point"?

Do I feel ripped off? No, not really, as I can still smoke most 250R's or performance quads I come across. I was just passing along info that I felt was meaningful.
