New 250r project (pics)

Well with my other 250r gone and winter almost here and the wife's racer-x complete I've decided to start another project.

I picked up this beauty (beauty used loosly) from one of my customers for the massive lump sum of $150.00. As you can see from the pics it is in several pieces. My plan for it's use will be mostly trail riding. I am also going to do some MX racing with it since the bug has bitten me after smith road.

As far as looks it'll pretty much be custom. I'm thinking of scheming it after the 87 250r's. Except with a little bling. Every part will be either polished or powdercoated. The motor hopefully will be around a 295. (similar to max's)

I can tell by looking through the parts I'm gonna need some help from my fellow boardmembers for parts and such to be posted later.

Motor pics. The left case has a big hole in it where a chain wacked it. so that will have to be replaced.

I thought you said the motor was all in pieces. I see a crank laying there but the motor looks like its together. Waz up with that.

He's magic. That's not a crank, that's the muffler bearings.

Look closer with your good eye. It's in pieces. I just put the cases together and put the jug and head on.

sweeet. man, all the otc gang seem to be getting into the big bore trikes.is it too late to make my z a 330 big bore stroker corey?someone put some friggin effort into that seat. it looks good for the idea they had.if i can help out in any way rick let me know.and btw,i will take the tent
