Custom 250r 10 Inch Rims!

Well in a never ending search for a 10 inch front rim for my flat track 250R and due to the fact that I'm BROKE! I had to improvise! I did some trading of some parts to pick up 1 douglas blue lable rear 10 inch rim for a atc125, then I took it to SOUTHERN MACHINE here near me, just so happend that the guy there is a MAJOR circle track racer!! I told him what I needed and he said NO PROBLEM!! for what i beleived was a decent price he cut te rim put it on the lathe chucked it up and machined it down and rewelded it to make a center offset 10x6 front rim for my 250R!! his welds are super clean and the work was extrememly profensional! me and him got to talking and he said he dosnt have a problem doing these all the time!! so if any one is interested in a 10 inch front rim for there 85-86 250R and dont want to pay $125+ for a custom wheel you can send me 1 10 inch rear rim and he will modifie it for the front for $75 Im not making a single cent off of this but you can send them to me and I will more than happy to take them there to get modified!

if you already have an extra 10 inch rear rim this is a very cost effective rought to having a 10 inch front rim done for your 250R

EDIT: it dosnt look like its got the right offset but its perfect when I measure it up to my other R rim becouse the differnt shape of each side kinda plays with your eyes to make you beleive it isnt right.

i cant remember who did it but i do know this has been done before. I think they used a banshee rim or something though.

I made a 10" front wheel for my boys 85cc 250r based 3 wheeler. I used the thinner side of 2 banshee rear wheels & welded them together In the center. Nice job with yours. At least you only used 1 wheel. I trashed 2 to make one.
