    Cool Blizzard 9700

Well, A guy emailed me about a 1978 Blizzard 9700 he had for sale, after looking them up, I found out it wasnt a 1978, it is iether a 1983-1984. He said it doesnt run, and that the recoil is broke so you have to start it with a rope. He emailed me the other day to let me know that he got it runnign by replacing the CDI box, well i drove 100 miles hoping that it is a 9700, got there, it is a 9700, runs good, doesnt look the best, and the recoil is messed out of it mind, here are some pictures. BTW, i only paid $400 for it, and $40 for my brother to take me to get it.

nice deal for 400.00. you will be happy. as for the recoil i would just use the rope like he has it now. my 9500 always blew out recoil parts.
down to parts because i no longer have a place to ride trikes.

The problem with the rope though is that it is so hard to pull because I have to pull it straight up, tommorow im going to work on it more and see what I can do to it. BTW, I see your a member of Dootalk, on the Vintage section there I have a post about the 9700 with alot of question, if you want to skim by that post and answer some of the questions it would help alot.

Well...lots to say now, stock it is 521cc, but now it is bored to around 600 cc. I found out why the pullstart isnt on there...my crankcase is cracked, so I had an add up looking for a crankcase and A guy emailed me about a partsled he has for sale, there is something wrecked on the top-end of the engine, but the bottom end is fine, and it has new hood, seat in is good shape, ect. ect.,,,he wants $500 CANADIAN dollars for it, think thats a good deal?

Well, he said it is in great shape, he got it in an accident and wrecked the hood so he got that all fixed up. then about 15 years ago he found his engine was gone, so he decided to park it in his shed, and it been sitting there ever since. I asked him if he would go down on the price, he said he is firm, because it is in such good shape other that the engine. But I think I am going to try and go for it, and take the top-end from the 9700 I have now, put it on the one I want to get, and then maybe drop a Rotax 583?? or someother type of powerful engine that will fit, and if you think and engine costs $500 or less, I would have about $1400 in 2 machines, so that isnt too bad.
