Welcome to the boards. I've heard that these can be very potent engines if set up right. Good luck with this project. My son is big fan of the aircooled 250r 3wheelers. He has a couple that he drag races. One has the Hondaline 300 big bore kit on it and he is building another that will use the Odyssey 350 cylinder. When trying to make more power there is no replacement for displacement.

    polanda?

Honda bottom, Polaris top? or vis-versa?

I remember somthing years ago in dirtwheels about a female sand dragger running one, I just can't remember the exact configuration.

dont forget all the problems with the Sabertooth's 100+ HP on the 250r bottom end......the trannies dont hold up to that kind of power.....
your probably better off putting a CR500 motor in your ride, and working that cylinder over to the MAX. then you will have insane power, in a reliable bottom end.

just dont forget to have the crank balanced to get rid of alot of the vibration.

The polanda is a whole entire different setup than the sabertooth 500. Using a polaris 400 top end on a 250r bottom end you end up with a good chunk of hp, somewhere around 60-65 im told, and it doesnt tear your bottom end apart. I have a cr500 in one of my 250r's, its a sick bike and is a absolute white knuckeled ride in the woods, but i think this would be better for an everyday ride.

The dunes here are great man you see lots of atv's (most are banshee's amd 4 pokes) and buggies (corvette supercharged engines and haybusa one's) lots of money involved, I wanted to be little different from them and do it the American style you know ride lt500 (530bigbore,fully ported check me on quadracerhq.com under lt500r gallery under Daraji lt500r), atc250r (ESR380 and polanda) and tri-z250 (moded by sprock bigbore and parts) the lt500 is almost done 95% complete but the three wheelers are half way through, because I really need big bucks buying those aftermarket parts
I have couple of questions would a +8mm crank be enought for polanda jug?
On this link I understood that the jug bolt should be relocated not the cases one so which one is right?
Polandas can go up to 440cc with customized piston and oem sleeve there are no bigbore's and if you want to check if am right or not you can go to aaenperformance.com they are making those cutsomized pistons at 120$ I think thats alot cheaper than buying bigbore sleeve if there was any and installing it in the cylinder.....
On September the season is going to start here and am not ready yet but I will be in a week or two
