    85 350X Custom

Well,,,,I skimmed through 3 pages here and didnt see anyone building a custom 350X so here you go...However, I did see one thread thinking about it....So this might give you some Ideas....

    Well,,,,,Here it goes.....

I was thinking that since there really isnt any aftermarket Bling for them I would do this.....

I had http://www.metaltechproducts.com/Honda_Swingarm.htm Build me a Custom Swinger....Everything is 350X back to the Carrier. At that point is is All 86-89 ATC/TRX 250R Components....Those of you doing the Math your Right....250R is just under 1 inch longer in the Carrier than the 350X...Soooo,,,,It is offset just under 7MM to get the Sprockets to line up...But you must use the 86-89 Stuff for it to work....I then purchased the Rad H-12 Double Tapered Carrier with the Brake Caliper mount...Yesterday I went to the Honda Shop and ordered the 89 TRX250R Caliper..(They show the ATC/TRX discontinued up until 89)..Got the Durablue X-33 2+2 Axle, Hubs and Rad AntiFade Brake hub and Rotor...I also went the Extra Mile and had Marvin Shaw build me a Custom Hill Shooter Coil Over Which is Nothing Less than SWEET!!!!!! Just need some Sprockets, Brake line and Chain and we should be Rollin for now....

The only thing I have on so far is the Shock....(If you have the money, Quit Throwing it away on 20 yr old Used Stuff) Worth every Penny....

I think I have enough right now to Tear it down and start to install the new stuff.....This is going to be a Running Work in progress so bear with me...Oh yeah,,,,One more thing......

You might want to Put these things on

Freakin Shock makes the rest of the Stock stuff look like Crap

What did those parts run you? I plan on redoing my 350x to. I was thinking of just podwercoating most of my stuff but I want some bling as well but that looks so damn good I might go that way. I was thinking of pc'ing the frame, the front and back axle red. The gas tank, swingger, and hubs blue. Ceramic coating the exahust and handle bars ( not sure about the the bars). Polish the forks, side motor covers, Valve adjustment covers, and tripple tree. Not sure what to do with the brake calipers and master cylinders. I want to get all these hoses redone with stainless brade. All the plastics need to be replaced so I was thinking white for those and I need to get the seat redone all I have is the seat pan the rest was junk.

I have a good nuts and bolts place around me so I am going to take the motor with me along with the nuts and bolts for all the other things and replace them with stainless hex head bolts.

    What do you guys think?

To rich for my blood. I dont want to put anymore then 800-900 into mine so if I sell it I should either break even for make a little off it.

I found out that the guy around here will PC my frame, Swingger, Axles, Handle bars and a few other things for 150. I think that is a sweet price!

I just found out the job I have been waiting on for a year is right around the corner. I will make some serious cash in about 30 day once it starts so after that I just might have to come off the hip and get some of those sweet come parts.

I have no plans on getting rid of mine either but you never know what the future holds. So I dont want to put to much into it over what I would be able to get out of it.
