    '06 Ninja 500, goods and bads?

    Lookin at one, what are the goods, bads? I need a bike with good fuel mileage, to ride 3hrs one way. Also, any mods?

    Well there WAY up in the power dept compared to any other 500, 4 valve head, not a bad bike for a beginner, easy to work on, id giver for the right price.

    i have a 01 500
    great bike fast enuf when driven good will do 88mpg but ride it faster and i still get 55-57 mpg

    never had a problem but i only have 20000 miles on it as well all fairly hard miles
    i was looking for a second one a while back as well to turn it into a klr kinda bike

    they arent verry light in the front end but definitly easer to wheelie than a gs500e lol

    Was my first new street bike I bought a new one in 88 its a great little bike hasn't changed alot over the years so lots of parts around. $3500 for an 06 don't sound to bad if its nice.
