can anyone please tell me the torque value for the bolt that holds the flywheel on?
chapter 5 in my manual is missing, just tells me to refer to the *base manual, wherever that is..
thanks

Hey, did you guys use Kawasaki's Tecate flywheel puller to get them off? I was at Northern Tool and I was going to buy their steering wheel/harmonic balancer/gear puller tool set. It's a bunch of different sized bolts with a 3 "fingered" brass section included. I guess the brass thing bolts to the flywheel with the center bolt is removed with a regular socket??? I've never done this job before and I dont know how this tool works. I'd appreciate any ideas!
Thanks and sorry to hijack the thread

i just took my bike to tthe local motorcycle wreckers and they pulled it in 2mins, charged me $5..
can someone pls tell me if its just a matter of lining up the middle mark on the flywheel with the mark on the casing, then holding it there by hand as i tighten the bolt up?
the magnets only go on one way which lines up with the key. the stator goes on with the line to the very right lined up with the line in the case.

on my RS stator there is only one mark on it which i lined up with the case. then on the flywheel there are 3 marks, when the middle mark is lined up with the case the groove in the key is pointed toward the bottom. now problem is the markings will not stay lined up if i let go of the flywheel, when i let go it turns approx 45degrees either way? im sure its simple but i have no manual and have never done one before
