As a hobbyist photographer that grew up and started on digital - I can't even imagine the level of wizardry and badasses the photographers use to be get get these type of captures on film, with manual focus. Its truly mind boggling to me

    Great captures.

Two of those pic's were taken by my brother. (The Blue Bike)

My brother and I started out taking pic's for Cycle News before it eventually went to ATV News. Our Mom would do the write ups to go along with the races to give exposure to the racing scene in our area. Eventually we became friends with the Coombs who promoted several of the Nationals over on the East Coast and Davey got us hooked up with the guys over at Dirt Wheels were we became contributors. It gave us access to go inside the tracks to be able to take some Awesome pics. I have thousands of pic's somewhere.....just cant find them. I know we submitted most and didn't think about saving the negatives.
Really I use a digital camera now and it's not a lot of difference. The principles are basically the same.

That's very cool. Those were the days!!!
I'm also a hobbyist photographer and action shots are pretty tricky, especially in low light conditions.
Here are a couple I got from this past weekend. It was our last race of the year. There are two small dirt tracks here in town where a bunch of us older guys get together and race atc70's. This is my son on his pw80 powered atc70.
