Factory Atc From The 80's Wanted!

i dident read the whole thread but to make a long story short i was in dave betticourts garage last week and hes got a atc 250r factory race bike with aftermarket shocks wish i would have brought a camera i was over whelmed being in there he sold like 200 of his bikes last month and stiill had probley 150 i was all pie eyed when i went there and was caught off gaurd

Well i didnt read this whole thread, but im going to throw in here what i want. Curtis sparks still has his bikes. His son told me he has 4-5 200x's still. (its funny too, his son is a 2 stroke kid) There is also a shop in so cal thats a honda employee that has race 250r's 200R and a pre production 500. Along with a ton of the old dirtbike stuff, xr, baja bikes and such. NOT for sale though. If you look you can find the stuff. But its not easy to find.

Man, I would have loved to have ridden one of those 200R's. I believe my Dad was talking with Mickey D, or another Honda Team rider that said it was the fastest bike they had thrown a leg over. At least thats how I remember him telling me.

the rarest item i have susposibly or however you spell it and that is supose to be the 1985 atc paul turner jug it needs a sleeve but me and dad looked it up and it was used on a factory honda bike. thanks-tyler pm for more info ill send some pics if you dont belive me

Scott what do you think of the FTZ boys down there in girardeau with ya, I was very saddened the other day I called them and they informed me they did not build atc pipes any more, looks like Im stuck with ESR unless I can talk Harry at Trinity into making me one, but he does owe my Dad a favor

I know Jimmy White still has his last Kow.It is powdercoated and wating for him to put it back together.I guss its been stiing that way for a long time he said. I have been trying to get him to get going on it .

my first time posting on here but i have had several 200x's but today i went down to potosi missouri to a guys house to buy some 200x parts when i got home i discovered the jug and head was a curtis sparks racing that was ingraved in 1984 still has good piston and all is this very rare?

Good score on the sparks parts and I would say their pretty hard to come by . Did you get a sparks cam with it also ?

the only thing i can tell is i miked it and its bigger lobes then the others. but everything is in really good shape to bad the ol boy didnt know what he had lol
