Factory Atc From The 80's Wanted!

just curious, do you know if the factory "works" 250r's were actually modified by honda with special parts like different cranks, lightened shift drums and other parts like titanium etc, or were they likely just upgraded with aftermarket parts like the Kawi's?

I personally would love to own one if they were true "works" bikes but i know i'll never find one.

ive got a bike id like to know more information on. its NOT FOR SALE but its an 85 atc250r . frame is completely aftermarket and adjustable down at the lower link mount. has a CR cylinder on it. came with old school durablue axle .mitchell wheels maier low pro back fender. was told it could possible been one of team hondas. but i dont have the proof. but the bike is well built and handles very good. also have 84 tecate came with franks triples bassani pipe, kx resevoir on the factory rear shock. kx cylinder heavly ported 300cc. trike igniton. raceaxle. hoosier tri trac front and rear. i work for a honda dealer ship. our parts rep is friends with jimmy white as jimmy white is head over AMC tire. i sent him the picrure of the bike and jimmy gave me his number to call him . he said he could believe something like that still ecsist . but im looking for 1984 maier? or maybe another brand front fork covers in green if someone may have some
