    2005 Honda FatCat 450R :)

What do you get when you combine a Honda CRF450R, Yamaha Rhino wheels, and a lot of fabrication???

I've ridden it now with just the wide front tire and it is INSANE!! I love it. Should have waited to post it until after I got the rear end done, but I was to excited to wait to share... I'll keep you posted with new pics as I finish the rear end.

This is a really sweet custom project, I'm gonna move it to the Mad Scientists Lair even though its not really a trike project, its still a custom build and cool as hell.

Wow, thanks for all the support guys! I got a little scared when I found my post had been moved from the 2wheeled section, but I'll take it as a compliment that this project is cool enough to be in the 3wheeled section

As you can see, I had to move the radiators to give room for the wide triple clamps to turn.

I plan on making some progress on the rear end this weekend. I'll be sure and take some pics.

I'll try and get some video next time I take it out. That may be a while though as I want to get the rear end done first. I ride mostly in the sand, obvious with the paddle tire and such. The front end floats beautifully now, but the rear end still sinks at lower speeds and makes for an interesting ride.

I'm doing my best to keep the weight additions to a minimum, I love how light the CRF is. However, I've already added about 10 pounds to the front of it. The rear will be a little worse with the jackshaft and all. Still much lighter than my old BW350.

I started this project because my BW350 wouldn't make it up the steeper dunes here in Oregon. This 450R is basically a point and shoot machine, I'm blown away by the power it has. This bike actually has the Athena 487cc kit on it as well, so it has more torque than a stocker, LOVE IT!!!!

Here a couple more pics to keep you satisfied til I get some rear end shots for you.

    Thanks again,
    Mike
