I believe the length was close to 14" eye to eye . Sorry but it's the only one I have .

FINALLY!!!!!!! I got the damn 25 year old mud blasted out of the nooks and crannies. Probably would have been easier to tear the motor down and blast it but I'm cheap and didn't want to replace those expensive gaskets and seals if I didn't have to. We shall see when I get it fired up. Used a wire brush on a air motor for most of it and the baking soda worked pretty nice back in the head fins. One of the guys on the forum used the basecoat converter for x-metal paint on his engine and I thought it looked super but I can't find the freakin stuff ANYWHERE. I can find the paint but not the primer. To buy it online they want more for the shipping than they do for the paint. That makes me angry! Anyway, my circus wagon is about ready to assemble.

Wow! Night and day difference. Very nice. I'm sure you have some time wrapped up in that whole deal. How much baking soda did you use to clean the fins out? It's going to look really nice when you put it all back together. I'm looking forward to the start of you re-assembly.

I used two and a half boxes. OUTSIDE , close ALL the doors and park everything fifty yards away. (just WHY would I know this?)

Takes away that nasty fish smell. But then I just run a tree on my handlebars. Nothing better than pine fresh here in the big city! LOL

    185s drivel, assembly starts

Well, the parts are clean and the paint is dry so I guess I better put this damn thing back together. I sure hope I remember how. Budweiser has depleted a lot of brain cells over the years. I gathered most of them up for a group picture. They all smiled nicely. The last pic is what I've got done so far. The NASCAR race is on. Lazyboy, here I come!!!!

Well, we're not on the rubber yet. It's been too freekin hot in that garage to do any more than give it a glance on the way in the house. Got a few parts installed today. Front wheel and brake tomorrow. I sure am glad I took a slew of pictures before I ripped it apart or it might NEVER get back together. I guess I could ship the damn thing to vealmonkey. He has its brother in his living room. Or is it the kitchen?
