Finally decided to sell my old girl. I've had it for some time but it was just sitting in the corner of the garage.... Not getting ridden or not getting finished. Gentleman who bought it seem like a real cool guy..... he looks like he's going to bring her back up to her original glory and use it..... something I haven't done for years.

.... hope to see you someday running the streets

Dang Dude! I’d probably sell a nut before I let something like that go.

I hope it gets some serious use by the lucky new owner.

I think it's more about the buyer than the price, when you've got something like that.

Sure, price is important, but if it's something you really put some time into, you don't want to see it trashed.

It's either pass it own, before you do, and have control over who gets it, or it just going to whoever after you're gone and them possibly treating your hard work like it was worthless. Imagine someone buying a new 60's era car, painstakingly keeping it original and in good condition, then they die, some yahoo buys it, immediately throws in a LS engine an puts 20" wheels on it. All those years of care, down the drain.

    I agree.

I checked the issue date of the title and it said 2006.....which means I got it sometime 2005 or 04. Either way I've had it for some time. The new owner I feel good about...very good about. It will get used and finished and admired and I will keep up with it.....which I'm really looking forward to.

Took the squares out for a 20 mile run down a creek close to my house. Dang near got run over by a spooked moose who was going full tilt across the trail.....would've been a bad day for me! Found this really cool snowmobiler warm up area too.....someone put a ton of time into it. Hopefully it doesn't get vandalized by some azz hat.

Gonna put it though it’s paces. I saw it running and stopping

If no overheat issues or brake problems, I will likely just use it

I may have to rethink my floor covering. I have some thin sheet metal that I leave down for welding protection and splatter etc. As soon as the forklift pulled on it it shot the plates out from underneath it. This doesn’t happen with any of my other vehicles even when turning in sharp circles etc. likely it’s due to the weight and the stickiness of the cushion tire grip.

She started out life as a 1976 750F. This is the only picture I have that I screenshotted several years ago. It was actually really fun to ride in that state but like everybody at the time we all had a cafe racer bug up our asses and had to have one. I always wanted to have one that was usable... safe to ride but period specific. I never liked modern running gear on older bikes or single shock death trap contraptions, etc........ rather an old school feel and ride with period specific improvements. I can't count the cafe conversions I've seen with rear sets and riding positions that look like you were fuking a football.....very unsafe for the rider's and unsafe for other motorists. I always try to avoid that in any cafe projects we did.

LOL! Remember the lay down drag bikes of the 70’s? I bought a 78 Suzuki drag bike with lay down pegs and the RH peg was positioned directly behind the exhaust megaphone. I made exactly one pass like that and ended up with my leg flailing around in the air as I went through the traps after I realized I was cooking my foot around the 1/8 mile and pulled it off the peg. Oddly that bike never won a best engineered award.

    Yes I remember those.

As dangerous as that sounds it was probably safer than riding some unsafe cafe abortion around LA during rush hour

I remember guys laying down on stock bikes and putting their feet on the passenger pegs. No shifter or rear brake access and their sternums resting on metal gas tank because why?
